TOUCHDOWN

Sorry to keep this so brief, but wireless is completely effed at the Granville Guesthouse and I am borrowing the owner's computer to let everyone know we're here, safe and sound. Everyone's completely bushed (up for well past 24 hours) but we are checked into our hotel and fed. FYI: I know this is all about cultural exposure, but scottish pizza: not so good, and corn does not belong in pasta. Edinburgh is stunning, the people have all been very friendly and helpful and I am going to find a wifi coffee shop tomorrow to post a proper update. The owner is probably waiting for his computer so off I go...

P.S. - no kilts yet, vail. :)

  4. found "you" on FB -- so excited for you -- I was in Scotland for 10 days in 2005 ... place of my ancestors ... stayed in Edinburgh, traveled about; tried to get to Millport Island (W of Glasgow - couldn't get there - worst storm of the century hit both coasts that year) HOpe to get back another time ! Culloden is pronounce cul-LA-den. Don't let the 'harrrry coos' eat you!

  5. Hey Jed, HUB Life!!! I read the comment about the kilt. You know, the Borland name is Scottish. We have a family crest/coat of arms and a kilt pattern. So if you happen to go near Borland castle, or what may be left of it, grab a chunk for mr eh?!? :) Btw, all is well in the Hub.
